New Dancing Frock

Nana sent this gorgeous dress that Lila has named her "dancing dress". She likes to wear it over her pyjamas.
Warning; you may need to adjust your volume for this one... sorry about that.

Green Thumb

Cuppa Tea

Lila maybe has an English gene in there somewhere

Fun with Grandma

A gardening project. Lila helped Grandma plant tomoatoes and peas

It's important to have all the right tools

The finished product

Grandma stayed over, allowing Quinn and I a much overdue "date night"
Lila was VERY happy when she was there the next morning.

Lila doesn't usually care for the Sunday paper, but Grandma makes everything fun

My Old Stomping Ground

We took Lila to Discovery Park on Saturday. I used to live a mile away, but it was the first time I'd been back since Lila arrived. It's a gorgeous park overlooking the sound, NOT that we made it out of the play area

The zip line was F-U-N

You can see by the hair action we were hitting some Gees

The tire swing was less popular

No really, it's fun

NOPE

BFF Friday

We had a lovely Friday. This morning we went to the zoo with Kathleen and Elizabeth. The sun was shining and the Orangutans were interractive.

It's fun now they are actually notice each other

We're so lucky!

In the afternoon Shauna, Danny and Lucy came over. Note the sun is still shining

We pulled more toys outside

Lucy and Lila played outside all afternoon and evening.

Then Danny made a gorgeous dinner, which we ate outside on the deck. OK it was a little cool by then... it felt like summer

The girls took a bath together, snuggled, bounced and...

downward dogs

New Bike, Well... Trike

We couldn't wait until Lila's birthday to get her first bike. It's a big hit. Note the snug he lmet (for ages 5-6)

You Know It's A Great Weekend When...

The toys move outside...

You discover a hole you never noticed...

You have new sandals AND they have fish on them

The sun is shining...

There's a mi-afternoon cupcake...

There's a visit to the library and a blanket in the park where you can sit and read

and look cool in the process.

The best part is... this is only Saturday!

Mothers Day AM

We set off early and spend a couple of hours on the boat. It was a spectacular morning to be out on the water.
Lila (who is currently obsessed with noises)... had long and focused conversations on the engine and its sounds.
Here's my natural sailor. Always a snack at hand. She did great, but was DONE after an hour

She was mostly interested in buttons and nobs, but did enjoy a seal sighting

Happy, happy Mother's Day to ME!

Mother's Day PM

YEAH! The first official picnic of the year!

There was plenty of running, playing a bubble popping to be done

Lila was very happy indeed

Aaron can single-handedly entertain 3 small children while we lounged on blankets, sipping tasty beverages and pondering life. However, when he was finally exhausted it took the entire party to keep them busy while Aaron was left alone

How and when did Kieran get so tall and handsome?

Connor exhibiting his very best fish face

What a lovely day

A Gorgeous Weekend to Putter About

High 60s in Seattle is BLISS.
We walked down to Gasworks Park and just puttered
Lila's very fond of dandelions and is spreading them far and wide whenever she finds them

She does blow, but pulls them off at the same time

In England we call them "One O'Clocks"
Lila sometimes counts as she blows. She can count to ten if you ignore that 5 exists
