Lila has, as most kids do memorized most of her books. Here she is reading Madeline with Quinn. Even with a mouthful of crackers you can make out the jist.

Merry Christmas!!

Such a build up, and now it's all a bit of a blurr. We took Lila downtown to see the tree and ride the carousel. She was very patient with the 30 minute wait

It was all worth it

Elizabeth came over to visit, there was the usual screaches of delight, then much jumping and running

So cute

Lila's really into lego and is buidling massive towers without help

Look at the thrill

And then it is evenly dispersed under every piece of furniture

Lila's highlight was the grandparents visit. She awarded Grandpa with free check-up

And finally... the much anticipated return of Grandma. Lila has such a tight bond with her.

Christmas Eve... the calm before the ripping

On Christmas morning, Lila loved passing out the presents and we had to stop and savour each and every one

The Murrays got Lila a bunch of Dr. Seuess, so everything stopped while Grandma read them ALL

Grandma Laura brought the biggest box, which instantly became a house/train/boat

Grandma helped Lila with her straw/glasses

This is Grandma, albeit briefly in the Great Dalmuti Chair A lovely time was had by all

Finally... SUN

Lila's been to the Children's museum many times, but never with me. So we made a day of it

Lila enjoyed the antiques (a pay phone)

The highlight was the Clifford exhibit, even though she's never seen the show

She just puttered about

She loved the play cafe. She prepared many meals for me, costing me hundreds of dollars

Order up!

You can spend all day there!

Unless you drink the water in the play pool, that contains chlorine. Time to go

Santa stopped my to say hi, she was interested but not ecstatic about it

At home we had a care package from the Joneses. Lila had to wear all the items immediately

Gill bought Lila a finger printing set. She loved it, but very quickly the finger prints were all over her, and us.

Luckilly it washes off VERY easily
