Good Doll

At the moment it's all about the dolls

Paralelogram? I can't even spell it!

Lila's going to need someone smart to help her with with her schoolin'. Hmmmm, I wonder which parent that will be. Kathleen's already informed me Lila will have outsmarted her mother by the time she's 5, but I think that's too generous.

Say What?

Yo-Yo-Yo or whatever it is those youngens say

Katherine; you'll appreciate that this is a Jonas Brothers hat.

Do-a Deer-a-Full-Meal-Deal

She seems to be learning songs at lightning speed. I introduced her to Do-Re-Me this week and she pretty much sings it by herself. She also sings Bohemian Rhapsody, but we haven't captured that on film yet :)

Friend-Filled Weekend

Lila spent time with Lucy and Elizabeth this weekend. Check out some very cute pictures at Elizabeth's blog; mcspeert.blogspot.com

After a sushi dinner and playing in the park the girls were exhausted, so it was a short bath

Lila just loves Shauna

Merry-Go-Round

We tried to hide it but Lila finally discovered the merry-go-round at the zoo. She loves it. Every horse is called "Chance"

A Perfectly Lovely Weekend

This was a low key weekend as Quinn had to work, but for Lila and I it was relaxing and helped by perfect weather and lots of friends.
Friday morning was spent with Elizabeth and "Kakaleen". It's starting to feel like they are connected now, looking forward to seeing each other and actually interacting. It may not follow that they love each other just because the adults do, but we will enable as much as we can.
Saturday was glorious early, so we had breakfast on the deck

We checked email

Read books, mostly to ourselves. She thinks the parents take too long :)

There was nakedness, and outside nakedness was SO much fun

I don't know why but I especially enjoyed this weekend. I got to hang out with Lila and just do mellow things.
We spent most of Saturday with Maria, who Lila and I adore. After bedtime there was great wine, maragaritas and OK I'll admit it; Rockband! It was a blast. We are so lucky to have what and who we have.

Chatty

She starts chatty, but then has to rearrange the doll's blanket 12 times... my genes at last!

Gruffalo

One of Lila's favorite books (sent by Anya)

Birthday Party for One

It's usually Sofi's birhday, but there's always cake

The Park

We had a mellow weekend, with the usual park visits

She's into running and swinging this week

What a landing... 6.0 from the german judge!

There's a non-stop monologue for whatever she's doing. Clearly a Thomsen

She likes to sit and have imaginary cake and talk about the day

A New Park

John Block Park is a new park in West Seattle. It's a great place to run around and has great views of Seattle

Lila ran and sat and climbed

Swinging

Climbing

Jumping

Lovely views

Rainy Cookout at the McSpeerts

How gorgeous is Elizabeth?
The swing chair was popular

Lila ate 4 meringues that I know of. Apparently she can reach table tops now

The girls hammed it up in their smocks.
Note the old biddies on the couch under the blanket!

Random Hangin'

Watching Wiggles

Park... a nice day after the rain is Lila's idea of perfection... no coats but still puddles to be found

She's running everywhere

Yes!

Clean... for 2 minutes

She loves magazines
