Elizabeth is 4

Sweet Elizabeth was 4 this week too. We went over for a lovely low key party.

Here is Lila's 4 year interview. I can't believe she's 4 and that this is our 500th post on the blog. The blog has turned into our family photograph album, with the first 2 years turned into books. Lila is easy and strong willed and articulate and funny. She sleeps well, is a picky eater, loves books and imaginary play and is a constant delight to us

Thank you English peeps for Lila's trampolene. It is a grand success.
We thought we take a few pictures before putting on the safety sides.

4!

I don't know how, but our girl is 4. She fully embraced all of the marvels of having a birthday.
The day was spent at Islandwood on Bainbridge Island with 8 buddies
 4!

So here's the gang on the ferry over. There was Lila, Max, Sofi, Elizabeth, Lucy, Justine, Kieran, Connor and Sebastian
Elizabeth turns 4 on Friday and is a complete sweetheart
Lila was thrilled to have Max join the party. They adore each other
Some of the gang on their island

Kathie was our ranger and was awesome
 There was skipping and exploring

Elizabeth was delighted with her bug catch

The place had a lot of unpleasant pond life that
 Max found a salamander

Lucy and Seb could not have been more enthusiatic

The find of the day was our frog
We ended with games and songs
 and of course cake

We could have been anywhere, they had a blast with each other

 Yeah!!!

Spokane Continued

The next day contained more livestock... miniature horse foals

And another awesome park, but the heat to get the best of us

Without doubt Lila's fave activity was the FREQUENT visits to Grandpa's cat Frankie. Frankie was delighted with all the attention and Lila did not tire of it

AND this being the beginning of her birth week, there was cake and candles.

On the way back we stopped at the Columbia river to cool off and break up the journey
Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Laura for a making our weekend so lovely
