Sunniest Place in Western Washington

It was one of those spectacular Seattle days; clear as a bell, mountains in every direction. So we set off to Sequim and Dungeoness Spit.
It was gorgeous on the ferry, blue skies

Sadly the spit was completely socked in with fog. Sequim has some weird climate geography making it the driest place with the least rainfall. Hhhmmm not today
Still, no such thing as a bad beach day

Just because it made me laugh.
We were talking about the big plant, El Bastido, that is desperately stretching out to get light from both the side window and the back door. I said I thought it was squishing up to the window to get the light, Lila said, "He's listening for the kilowatts. He thinks they sing. But I don't believe him because that Bastido plant is crazy."

Couple of Beach Days

Christmas was fun but also felt busy and work was crazy, so we decided to get away for a couple of days to Seabrook. It was spectacularly sunny

Our cottage "Beachy Keen" and some gnome and fairy cottages below

These pictures were taken at noon; look at those shadows!

The beach had the added fun factor of frozen pools

 Our newest cat Ben

This was Lila's favorite part and she spent hours in there (supervised of course)
