Day 4... a Wowser!
We were rewarded with sunshine on Saturday despite a pessimistic forecast, so out we ran. Someone recommended a new beach we haven't seen; South Beach
Lila took her little camera. We started near the visitor center and took a gorgeous forest trail south
Beach selfie!
It's ridiculously picturesque. I am only putting a fraction of the shots we took up.
The trail lead to a series of small coves, ending in the lovely half-moon South Beach
Not sure what these were so we didn't touch them
South Beach!
Again, we saw only a handful of others.
We spent a close-to-perfect morning hanging out and exploring, building dams, exploring islands and making shell sculptures.
So much life.

AND a swing!
The weather was wierd; bright sun one minute followed by dark cloud the next. As we walked back the heavens opened. Nicely timed Thomsens
You can't see the driving rain here.
Eating sushi for dinner at the Inn at Tough City, overlooking the sound and feeling very grateful for such a lovely trip. I love it here, so glad my little family does too.
One last evening view from our deck (and of course hot tub)
