Small Milestones

It seems as Lila gets older her milestones are less dramatic, on the flip sides SHE sees them now, which adds a whole layer of excitement.

OK it's small, but here's her first pony tail. It's taken her 2 and a half years, and it lasted 3 minutes but a pony tail it is!

She couldn't quite get why she couldn't see it in the mirror!

A small milestone is her ability to sit, for sometimes up to an hour with books and "read" stories to herself or whatever soft animals may be lying around. I love listening to her

Molars. In the last 4 weeks she has 4 new teeth. They have been a minimal bother, thankfully. I found them accidentally when brushing her teeth, but it did explain a week of finger chewing.

We are finally putting that cousin to work. About time. This weekend she made Chilli and Tostados. It feels like she's always been here now and we LOVE having her here

Guilty pleasures. Quinn, Charlotte and I are all reading the "Hunger Games" and are sucked in. A small family of addicts

Connor is 4!

For his birthday party, Connor wanted to decorate "Pupcakes"

Of course Aaron had all the fixings

It was a dream for Lila

Spectacular

I can't believe he's 4 already!

There's always a price

Group read!

We have a new baby in the group; Xavier

Regular Ol Weekend

Except for the bonus of having Charlotte here

It was a gorgeous day, but there were puddles too. Perfection for Lila

It's official...SPRING!

Aquarium

We haven't been to the aquarium for a while, so we decided to do a touristy day with Charlotte

Jellyfish!

Then off for seafood that requires bibs.

A Long Tale

Untitled from alison jones on Vimeo.

Lila is a Thomsen. She likes to tell long stories. This story lasted almost 45 minutes. She has a very patient cousin.

A Grand Day Out

On Friday we had a girls day out, which started at Tutta Bella.
Lila, Charlotte, Gill, Maria and I

Next we hopped on a ferry to Bainbridge.

See the sunshine???

See the winter coats???

It was very windy, which Lila very much enjoyed, which is funny considering she's often complains when the wind blows her hair around
She squealed and ran around

Even on a not-so-lovely day I love taking a ferry ride, the views are lovely. Not that we were outside very long

We're so very lucky.
Exhausting!

1st Beach Day!

A tropical 55 degrees AND sunshine, we were out and on the beach where we met up with Elizabeth, Jeff and Kathleen.

Granted; it doesn't look tropical

The girls didn't know any difference

The pink puffs of joy

Can you hear the squealing?

AND there were slides to slide

Bouncy things to bounce on

And snacks to snack on

Even frisbees to "throw"

Charlotte's stylin' moves

Just a lovely day
