Lila's getting very attached to Tita Ave

Ave will teach her all about retail, sports and style, thankfully. She'll get none of that from us.

Maybe she can teach her how to be neat

Her newest passion is jigsaw puzzles, she can't get enough of them at the moment. This is good because there's very little outdoor play this time of year

Point Defiance Zoo

Sunday was gorgeous, if a bit chilly, so we went to a new zoo (for us) in Tacoma

I was not super-enthused until we got to the Tigers. How often do you get 2 inches away from a massive tiger, poor thing.

Plus a couple of cubs.

Lila's favourite bit was the hot chocolate, or rather the whipped cream on it

New Year

We have no photos to show for it, but New Year was rung in with the Murrays, Gunns and Aherns. There was food and blood orange margaritas and celebrities and, of course Rockband

For Lila the best part was a sleepover with Lucy

Here they are with their morning hair

Lila and Lucy actually play together

But their shared love of the Wiggles is a bond that will last a lifetime, or at least another 6 months

We made lemon cupcakes after everyone left. Much attention went into the cleaning up
