Random October

There's a lot to like about Fall

Grandma sent this very styling jacket. She'll need her US passport when travelling in this
Halloween really has lasted the entire month. We decorated her room. She named her 4 spiders; "Uncrawling", "Unhappy" "Diving in the pool" and "Kidnapping"

"We" made many ghosties

It's interesting how kids grow into and out of toys. The potato heads have been here a while, she's chewed on them, made faces with help, but now she independantly decorates, gives them names and acts out stories with them. I especially liked these handsome chappies.

Gorgeous Fall

I'm not looking forward to winter, but fall is lovely so far

Pumpkin!

Lila's first pumpkin assist.
She wasn't too interested in the process really

She did like the finished product though

Especially at night

Aladdin

It may not be the fanciest Aladdin costume but don't tell Lila.
Archie McFee's supplied the fez

Park Time

Not much going on at the moment (clearly). I am swamped at work and enjoying downtime at home.
Fisrt one armedswing captured

I couldn't count how many times we've been in this park (across the road from our house). We know every inch of it

It's so fascinating watching where she'll play on any given day and how that changes over time. I'm sure only fascinating to me

She is now a person. No longer a baby or a toddler. She is passionately interested inmany specific things, has clear opinions, makes up jokes and songs and stories and can see more than what's happening right now, right here. She feels so alive and feels every emotion to its fullest.

Park Time

It's officially fall, so wrapped up warmly we haeded to the beach.
As usual she has no hesitation getting wet or sandy

Lila, since being very tiny has hiccups whenever she laughs a lot.

The bouncer is always a good hiccup inducer

A very pleasant fall day

Lila Plus DnD.

Pumpkin Harvest!

Today we went to Janet's pea patch to harvest pumpkins with the other kids from daycare. This was Lila's 3rd pumpkin harvest.

Here she is at 14 months
just over 2

and today!

All the usual cowd was there. Sofi

Anna

Lila was happy with a medium sized pumpkin

Nico's first harvest

Soren's too (Lila took this photo)

The patch is winding down after a not-so-great summer

Lila wasn't very social today. I suppose she's spent all week with everyone. She was itchy to get home.

One last swing with Hannah and Sofi

And home with pumpkin we go.
